Choral Days

Come and sing days provide opportunities for singers of all ages and abilities to learn a work or works and to develop their vocal and choral technique. Again, the emphasis is on having a good sing and good fun in a friendly environment.

Our accompanist on this occasion will be Ian Pattinson
Ian has been Organist at Lancaster Priory since September 2001, having previously held posts as Organ Scholar at Birmingham and Blackburn Cathedrals and also Assistant Organist at the latter. He directs the Priory Occasional Singers as well as accompanying the Priory Choir, and has composed music for the choirs at the Priory.
Ian is a graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire (1998) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists (2002). His organ tutors have included David Bruce-Payne and David Sanger.
Ian is also an organ/piano teacher, accompanist, and organ recitalist. Past recital venues have included the Temple Church in London, Halifax Minster, Cartmel Priory, and the Anglican Cathedrals of Liverpool, Birmingham and Blackburn.
Ian is an experienced accompanist, having worked with numerous soloists and choirs in concerts and workshops. He often works with the Royal School of Church Music, playing for services sung by RSCM Voices North, and for local events in the north-west.
Ian looks forward greatly to playing for the Come and Sing event at Bridlington in June 2012.
