Come and Sing - At Wortley Hall - 4th/5th February 2012

We will be working on Music on a Royal Theme in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - "Zadok the Priest" (Handel); "I was Glad" and "Blest Pair of Sirens" (Parry); "This is the Day" (Rutter); "Jerusalem" (Parry); "National Anthem" (arr Britten). Lots of singing, lots of vocal & choral technique, lots of fun. Places from £126. All rooms en suite! Performance on Sunday afternoon at Wortley Hall, 3.30pm.

Wortley Hall is a beautiful 18th century mansion set in 26 acres of formal gardens and woodland, situated in glorious countryside fairly close to junctions 35a/36 on the M1. Accomodation is offered at a very comfortable standard, with all rooms being en suite. Delegates will enjoy a very comfortable weekend in a fine building, listening to beautiful music and discovering the fascinating story of Handel's life. All led by the ever popular partnership of Gareth and Andrew, who will keep us on the edge of our seats with their usual combination of knowledge and good humour.

How do I get there?

Travelling From Sheffield Use the A61, fork left onto the A629 (Huddersfield) into Wortley Village, turn right on the double bend, keep left, down the drive to the Hall.

Traveling From Manchester Use the A628 at the Flouch Inn turn night onto the A616, leave by the A629 (Huddersfield) for half a mile into Wortley Village, turn right on the double, bend, keep left, down the drive to the Hall. Travelling From Huddersfield Use the A629 to Wortley Village, turn left at Wortley Church by the Post Office, keep left, down the drive to the Hall.
